So apparently my half-sisters don’t understand going to a country to immerse yourself in their language and culture. They kept treating me like a dumbass for wanting to go to Japan to see the sights and learn the culture. Even thinking about moving there to see what everyday life is like. 

They kept telling me to go find someone here and learn from them but there’s a huge difference between Canadian-Japanese citizens and those who actually LIVE in Japan. Most of the home life stays the same, but generally it’s more adapted to the Canadian way of life. (Less reserved, for example.)

Sighs. I have a pounding headache and I’d rather not have my interests belittled by family.
