I wish I could say the MOGAI archive gender politics were harmless and just cute and fun for young teens and that the best solution was to just ignore them but I increasingly think there is a whole mini generation of kids growing up being told their relationship to gender changes with the clothes they put on that day and if I’ll tell you who’s hurt most by that: kids who would otherwise be coming into womanhood in one way or another and are being told in convoluted cutesy language that womanhood isn’t an option or that if it is, it’s a disgusting one if you’re not the right kind of woman.
