Hey guys. I’m in a bit of a pickle. And this pickle has forced me to start asking for donations. The short of it is, I need help distancing myself away from my financially negligent and irresponsible father, as we’re at risk of losing our house and he has put our family (him, my autistic younger brother, and myself) in debt going into the numerous thousands because of his bad habits. This has been a situation that we’ve been in and out of for about four years now, due to a really nasty divorce issue with my former stepmom that put us in a really really deep money pit. But this is the first time that we’ve been literally at risk of going homeless since we first moved to the province back in 2011. Frankly, it’s been pushing me to my limits mentally and emotionally.
I never thought it would come to a point where I’d have to ask for help from strangers, and it makes me scared to even try because I’m really not a very big blog. But I’ve officially run out of options, as the landlord came by yesterday (July 11th) to give us notice that we need to find somewhere else to live.

Apparently he’s just making the situation worse and worse. I could use all the help I can get. I also updated the long-story version of the situation since. I realize I kind of danced around the severity of the situation, and it’s come to my attention that it’s probably something I shouldn’t have omitted.

My queue has been running my blog since yesterday afternoon. I finally managed to find a coffee shop with internet.
So as Yuyu mentioned (I texted and asked her to update for me, ty!!) my dad neglected to pay the internet/cable bill after he promised the cable company he’d do so on friday. Because this isn’t an isolated incident with him, the company is refusing to reconnect our service until he pays what he owes in full. My father in all his infinite wisdom tried to threaten them into bringing back our service with “We’ll just find another provider then!!” (bear in mind, this is the same thing that happened with the last cable providers……..). So as a response, they have cut off our cable and internet permanently. Or at least until we can find a service provider that my father doesn’t have a reputation for not paying with.
To top it off, he’s been shoving the blame of debt onto me for “not finding a job fast enough” and continuing to overdraw from my credit card without my consent. My situation is getting more and more dire every day and I don’t know what to do other than get out of here before things get more out of hand than they are.
